An outcast in this dark age, you believe in the old legends, and seek a return of the great kingdom, in all its glory. The ignorant call you a stubborn nostalgic, but you see yourself as the vanguard of a new era of peace and prosperity - one initiated by you, and your allies among the Knight Protectors.

This Archetype from the Archives is presented as a character build using existing rules, as a martial archetype for fighters, as a feat for anyone, and as a faction that any who value the old ways can join. For the DM, quests are included that may prominently feature a devoted defender, and NPC's are provided to represent members of the organization.
