New and Improved 5E Character SheetPublisher: Dungeon Masters Guild

Welcome to the character sheet experience you have been waiting for. I have not seen any other character sheet design address the issues particular to 5E D&D, so I have done my best to work them in, in a more intuitive and efficient manner--both in sheet space economy, and in player competence at the gaming table.

The first sheet contains all the essentials for quick-glance reference. PC stats are rearanged on the page, and most saves, skills, and other data are positioned according to the relevant ability. Actions of all types are separated into distinct columns, reducing the likelihood of forgetting that bonus action or reaction when it matters most.

Page 2 is where the player can track a character's less number-crunchy features: the background, feats, companions, and even space for detailed character art. The major improvement here is the space for equipment that also makes tracking which 3 magical items that character has attuned to that much easier. Also, the wealth area favors tracking a more condensed number value rather than exact coin volume; it is based on the gold piece (GP) standard, with decimal places to track those straggling silver and copper pieces (SP, CP).

Page 3 is specific to spellcasting in the game, which--I think we can agree--is an option in this game with very little down-side. There is space to track cantrips, even from multiclass spellcasters, and space to tally and track spell slots. This section's chief benefit is the shorthand for spell descriptions I have come up with. With this vital info already on the page, this should reduce the amount of time spent running back to the Player's Handbook or other printed materials to reference spell effects. Don't forget to reference bonus action spells (hex, hunter's mark, smite spells, etc), and reaction spells (hellish rebuke, feather fall, shield, etc.) in the appropriate column on the first page.

EXAMPLE: Fireball_VSM.150ft.8d6fire, 20ft radius, Dex save 1/2.i.+1d6fire/slot lvl.

I am passionate about this game, and I came up with this design to solve problems I was having with the standard sheets. Please give it a shot, and I don't think you will be disappointed. All feedback and contributions are appreciated. Thank you.
