A Guide to Tool Proficiency Use in D&D 5e

This guide will give you a way to incorporate the use of tool proficiencies into the game that makes them useful for players, particularly during downtime. Finally a way to use your tool proficiencies other than thieves tools or disguise kit. 

Use your Alchemist Supplies to try and brew potions, or your woowworking tools to make and sell trinkets. Your catrographer's tools to design maps of places you've been and sell them. Or you could build yourself a house. Or you could even use your thieves' tools to complete contracts for people in the area but don't forget you'll risk being caught by the authorities. 

The guide runs off a system suggesting the number of uses available for a kit before it needs to 'restocked' for a slightly lower price than the purchase of the item since initially buying the item you had to purchase all the tools as well as the crafting supplies, but now you just need the supplies to top it back up.
